Sun Snipe 1967: any thoughts please

Hi everyone, I have picked up a Sun Snipe, which looks to date from 1967ish. I picked it up for the Wrights W3N saddle, Campagnolo Gran Sport derailleur, which were in great nick. However, I am wondering what to do with the frame and whether it is worth renovating.

it has a frame number 3483544 and has an X stamped just below.

I has a fair bit of superficial rust under the paint, but the decals are in fair order. It also came with a Miremo Stem and Sturmey archer 27 inch rims on British Hub Co "defiance" flip flop hubs.

I don't think the tubing is of any real quality, but I am in two minds whether to spend money on it or perhaps do it up as a fixie.

Any thoughts or advice or info on the bike would be great.

If it was mine i would go with a light restoration on the frame then turn it into a fixie

So you wouldn't suggest a respray?

I was thinking fixie and would refurbish and true the wheels which spin well.

Do you know anything about the age?

A Carlton built Sun, well worth building up into a full bike, parts for this would all be Raleigh/Carlton. Could be done for £120 or so...

I have a couple of Suns, a 62 Prestige and 65 Plus.

Built up from a frame and forks only.

Snipe plus, more or less stock. Changed a couple of components since this image.
