Sub £100 workhorse whippet!

Hi all - now i'm back on the bike for the commute, i'm going to get involved with a dedicated road bike after years commuting on a MTB.

i'm not after a project as such, but don't mind a bit of fettling to get it working again if it gets me something within budget.

not really sure what spec/gruppo i'm after - but something like 1 x 8 / 2 x 8, and fast rolling is all i'm after with the potential to customize to make it more comfortable should i decide to go for a bimble.

don't know if my budget will allow for brifters but i'm not afraid of downtube friction shifters

im a touch under 6ft, but can get more measurements if i need to....
i'll be trying out a couple of mates bikes today to see if i can size myself up....
im on the south coast, but if a deal can be done for postage that's fine by me

so WHY?
