I will hear no knocking of stx. Its good stuff not xtr but still damn good kit.

STX looks the part on one of my builds and two of them roll on stx rc hubs and I have had no problems at all

It's all relative. My first MTB had Tourney etc so my retro with STX on is quite posh in comparison.

My bro-in-law has roadbikes and thinks XT/XTR is cheap tat compared to his carbon Campagnola stuff hand crafted by little pixies in italy.

Am I missing something, I thought STX-RC was dark grey ano (I have some on a couple of bikes). This looks plain.

Bargain - somebody snap em up.

STX RC was always silver as I recall, Stx se was dark and. Think I read somewhere that they later became deore as we now know it.

STX/SE/RC is all good long lasting stuff. Those levers I would say are the worst bit.
