STX Rear Hub Question

Thinking more about this, and looking at the second photo, it does look like a 7 speed freehub body.

OK, been in the shed and the part number is FH-MC32, also says Parallax on them.

Defo 7 speed then ?

Cheers,

WD :-)

You can see the part number in the first picture you posted ;)

It is STX was used from 1995 till ? but certainly still in use in 1999
Part number of the freehub if original is Y3AP98020 (and is 7 speed)

FH-MT32 and FH-MT32-S

you'll need to measure to see if you have 130 or 135 OLD (that is distance between the end of the nuts), though probably easier to measure axle length (see diagrams for length of axle)

OK thanks for that 8)

I wanted to double check as I couldnt make out the character in shadow behind the spoke :D

I was looking at the spline pattern, and the depth of the raised bit at the inner side of the freehub, that's why it definitely looks 7 speed to me.

Part number would confirm it, but the spline pattern and the raised bit are difficult to argue with.
