STX RC chainrings

Hopefully riding in summer,it was woolly hat shop over the phone.What size chainrings are they if theyre 26,36,48 in silver we could be in business :D

The middle ring acts as the spider so you might need to buy either the hens teeth Pace spider or another STX middle. I could be wrong though.

Wrong model, these are 4 arm so MC40's and a check in his bike thread shows them as MC40's
 
Ahh just as well I didn't offer my rings then :) Need to find a Hens tooth soon though I think just to cover my bases.

I didn't realise they were rare, sold a new one for £10, but that's all it cost me.
 
May be that chap in that shop will tell me I can't run a 9 speed cassette on a 10 speeed chain with a 7/8 speed front mech using D/T friction shifters. Well I do. Lots of kit is compatible.

And yes your front mech with work with larger chainrings. I have done this before.
 
Thanks for all the info,I was thinking about the front mech,you must have read me mind.I found the same problem with shops when restoring cars in that cause theyve never done something they assume it cant be done,thats why I like forums so much.
