Stupid Question. Sorry.

If the bolt I'm holding has a measured diameter of 4mm including the thread, is it an M4?
I am fitting a cat flap for a robustly figured (fat) cat and the bolts supplied are too short.

Many thanks.

Surely its the width of fittings that require longer bolts, not the width of the cat

The thickness of the door isn't covered by the crappy bolts. It's the size of the hole that was dictated by the width of the cat. It's scary! At least 15% of the cost of the door has been cut out! I reckon if you were a talented and very skinny limbo dancer, you could in in without opening the door!

the cat wont be going out much with winter coming. Must be a happy cat 8)
