Stupid chain question

Hi all,

just bought a nice Biopace chainset from a member here, and when it arrived the little sticker said " for narrow chains only"

I was going to put it on a six speed, with a "normal" chain. Has anyone here tried this, and does it work? :?

There weren't different sizes in my day.......

Normal chain is 'narrow'. Don't worry!
