nah thats much later than 88....looks early 90s

I'll tell you what...if I'm right you can walk to my house in Dorset, and if you're right I'll head down the M27 to yours

looks like a 1990 stumpjumper with earlier bits bolted on to me
Wrap up warm Makster, they have promised snow

Doesnt the U-brake make it 88/89 like makster says? The paint scheme later, 90/91???

just googled 88 stumpjumper and first result is one belonging to non other than the makster       so seems he knows his onions.

looking at the close up pics it does look like a respray and new decals as they dont look to be clearcoated over, albeit an old respray.

do you think if i delete my comments he wont know and wont have me walk from Birmingham somewhere

in my defence i did not see the pics at the bottom or see the ubrake or any other details except the colour. Whats that they say of ignorance?

Yip.....good point......I'll get my coat.

Either way ....it aint worth £300...even with the bell. :D

What's your ETA in Bournemouth? I'll make sure the kettle's on :D

I've owned 2 in the last year. The U-brake is the give-away as this was 1988 only.
I sold my rather nice and completely original example for less than £150 so £300 is a tad steep!
