hey guys, got hold of a pro lever at long last but the piston inside is stuck will not move, whats the best way of freeing it

thanks all

Dont everybody rush, ill get it :P

Not a lot i can suggest im afraid :) other than to pour on some penetrating fluid leave for overnight and try it in the morning. There are some really good ones outwith wd40 and its ilk ? but i cant remember any names.

Coke might help.the acidic nature of it can attack the oxidation from what i hear.Never tried it myself but theres pplenty that have used coke and found it worked.
Might be an idea to replace the lever so you can get some force on it rather than poking a screwdriver down there :?

Pro levers arent really that difficult to come by,i think youve been really unlucky it getting a seized one :? ive had loads and never had a stuck lever piston.
Buy another and swop the levers, then sell the spare on ebay as spares/repairs to recoup some or most of the outlay.

goooooood morning and thanks for the replay

well ive sorted it noe with a little bit of love and swear words lol but its free, coke is amazing stuff hey, so many uses, ive give the lever an overhall and it was working when i left it, gonna check it in abit to see if its still alive

cheers mate
