Stripping paint of a Polished Alloy frame

Nitromors will oxidise the surface a little, dulling any polished finish on raw aluminium. After stripping it you'll probably need to give it a light rub down with wire wool and then polish up with Autosol, and then finish with Brasso/Belgom Alu or the like for a very shiny mirror finish.

When I work on aluminum (or any metal for that matter), I prefer to use 3M Scotch-Brite rather than Steel Wool, which with use turns to fine steel powder which can become impregnated into aluminum and potentially cause rust streaks. Scotch-Brite is made of abrasive-coated plastic fibers.

^^ I have seen this :-(

If your frame is highly polished the paint will fall off very quickly anyway so you shouldn't need to scrub or leave it on for a long time :-)

I use the green nitromoris and hadn't actually noticed any dulling ? I wonder if different alloys react differently ?

WD :-)
