Stolen - Roberts Genesis - Bristol Area

On the 13th Jan someone stole my Roberts Genesis from Long Ashton near Bristol. The frame is White and has had a disc mount fitted. Spec is; Easton bar, stem, post, Flite Saddle, XT Groupset, Hope Mono Mini Brakes, Pace RC31 Forks, Continental Tyres. If you see or hear anything please call or email. Many Thanks.

sorry to hear of your loss.

two things though:

1) put a picture up if you have one, picture tells a 1,000 words and all that.

2) remove your email address (or at least change to 'lukehanson at hotmail dot com') or you are going to get even more spam emails than you probably already do via Hotmail.

Good luck finding her - it happens!
 
Will be sure to keep an eye out for you, not many custom genesis around these parts.

I take it you have reported to the police?

Without pics the thread is pretty useless

I know regards stolen bikes the following maybe useful

Some current trends are starting to show. Take a picture of someones bike, put it on ebay sell it..then when it's sold and the person wants it sent or to pick up..then steal the bike. This then means when the owner goes looking for it it won't appear for sale as it already has been sold and stolen to order

Gumtree exactly the same as above and another is not including the picture on the main page so only when you click the link do you see the picture.

Another way is to include just "mountain bike" "touring bike" etc in the main title..this avoids getting any hits if you were to put in roberts for example. You then click the link and find the proper full description in the advert..think they have made a mistake and you think you are the only one who has noticed it and think you have got a bargian through the sellers poor knowledge

None of these help you right now but may give you some avenues to look further to recover your bike

Luke I will keep my eyes open. I would check all the second hand/ cash converters type places.
Its gutting when this happens and unfortunately Bristol is really bad for bike theft ( it can happen even when your riding it!!).
