Stolen Kona back in the 90's

Bit of a longshot here back in 1994 I had a Kona which was a bit unusual because I had it chromed, not the best decision I've made! Anyway some git nicked it, Is there any chance anyone's seen on here. It was my pride and joy, it also had a custom milled Shimano crank which I had anodised blue. Probley in the bottom of a lake some where robbed of parts, they wouldn't of been able to throw it far it did weigh some!!!

It is a hell of a long-shot though :shock: but if it had re-surfaced at some point then there's always a chance someone on here might have seen it, assuming it was still chromed by then.

Last year I spotted my old Orange Prestige frame on here, I'd sold it around 2000, never thought I'd see it again tbh, just goes to show that it's a big world but not all that big when it comes to decent retro mtb's.

Theres always hope then! I've got a pic of it somewhere I'll scan it in, luckily it was insured id give the money to have the bike back tho.

I quite like the idea of this thread especially if you had something a bit unique stolen.
Anyone ever find my 94 Lavadome with Accutrax and skinny brown Hardpack tyres stolen from Ralph Colman cycles in Taunton. You never know what will turn up on here!
