That shipping price is outrageous. I shipped a pricey Potts made frame and some parts, across the pond, for 1/6 of that price.

And although not worthy, I sure would look cool riding it....

Is it an older Steelhead or a newer Steelhead?

I like it....

What do you mean, an older or newer steelhead?

I was under the impression there were two runs of Steelheads? Something SP did for a specific group of riders in the early 90's per their request, and again around the new millenium as a contribution to raise awareness and funds to protect a local river, didn't he build some road and mtn bike frames? I believe you own/owned a roadbike that was from this? far from knowledgeable and hopefully not spreading an untruth, I am just fishing for info on the topic?
Cheers,
T

Would make sense. The original ones were early 90s and this one was 98. The dude said in a reply to me that he wasn't one of the original riders.

Maybe the frame was from the first batch and sat before being built up later?
Maybe there was a second run?

I think the Steelhead run was done in the late 90s and I guess there was only one run. My Silver Salmon is from 2000.

Word. I was going on what was on the link he provides in the auction. Who's site is that? Cool bike in any case.

Laffeaux from MTBR.

Check the frame details on my old 95 CCR. That bike in the auction has new dropouts.
