Steerer Tube Question ?

Morning fellas,

I have a rigid 1" ahead fork , whos steerer is not long enough to get a aheadstem onto fully, once the headset is fitted , is there a 'extension piece ' even if its 1" to 1 1/8" to solve this problem ?

Its funny you should ask that. A friend has left her Rockhopper here. (hope she hasn't got ideas of moving in)
And it has a steerer tube extension fitted to it. Its 1'' ahead too. Buts not pretty to look at. Made by 'Delta'
If i were you I get the steerer tube extended.

:shock: Thats always a bad sign fella 'Leaving her bike there ' Any chance of a photo of that part fella. ? its just i have some really nice forks to go on a cannondale frame , the project 2s dont look right on it so was going to use the others but the steerer is too short, and want to use ideally a 1 1/8 stem , shimmed down to the 1" :?

Considered this myself but went for the stem with more rise option (no room for spacers)

After reading your first post again.(still sleepy) Not sure if this what you need.
Sorry if not.
But you must agree this is not a pretty thing to do to a Rockhopper.(21'' frame by the way)
