Steerer on Tange switchblades

Is it possible to change the steerer on Tange switchblade forks from 1 1/8 to 1" ?

hi,
im not sure about switchblades, but i know you can do it on rc30s, you just need a reducing shim that fits in the crown, pace still sell these, proberly worth asking "justbackdated" if he has any that would fit. my guess would be yes. but dont quote me !!!

Not sure if you can, the steerers have a ring clip thingy at the bottom of the steerer unlike most replacement steerers, I also think the crowns were made to fit the steer tube so you could only swap out the legs if you can find the correct size steerer/crown.

both my pace steerers also have a ring clip thingy at the bottom, i think its to stop the steerer pulling through when the headset is tightened. if the steerer is removable im sure it will be possible to reduce the size of the steerer,

just thought the ring clip thingy might only be for normal headsets not aheads, im guessing again thats its to do with the way threaded steerers tighten.
