steel dean ?

They did a run of frames in Aermet steel. This may be one of them, it looks about the right age.

Steel DEANs do pop up on the bay from time to time. I have a Columbus Ultrafoco tubed Dean road bike with a crazy paint job by Spectrum. I bought it new on ebay from a guy in Colorado who told me it was a paint demo bike, but I don't really know the whole story behind it.

If I remember right, some of the DEAN mtb's I've come across on ebay were made from Columbus Zona, but that down tube doesn't look like most of the Zona down tubes I've come across.

That dent suggests to me it's probably not Aermet.

I thought Dean only did Titanium frames - especially in the 90's. No?

I don't know about steel DEAN's, but I think I saw an aluminium one a week ago. Though I don't know if that was a 90's bike.

This one looks like 'maybe late 90's' or even post 2000 I would say.

Was Aermet100 still in the market by that time ? As I remember Aermet100 was sold during '95-'98 or something like that, isn't it ?

I agree on the dent-thing. Aermet doesn't dent (easily), it breaks/cracks :?

This one is not realy a bike I would go for. OK, it's a DEAN, but maybe that's the point... for me at least...
