SS Pace...in 853 Steel!!

Why is it nice? Because not many companies make good steel hardtails these days. I guess it is nothing special compared to the custom stuff available and if the price exceeds 1k then it will suddenly fall from its perch.

Seems like everyone has these "Platsa Blue" singlespeeds now - Orange with the R8 (oh, hang on, that's not a SS specific frame, is it?) and now Pace with the RC104........ :roll: I might have to do some re-spraying, Platsa Blue is so yesterday...

Nice though, I could give one house room, although I'd probably go for the tig-welded version over the fillet brazed (from an engineering perspective) however aesthetically the brazed one looks really cool.

Cooler than my old heap of tat, that's for sure

Steel Pace... erm.. I'm not keen on the way that pace are abandoning their roots and jumping on the 'baby blue 853 steel hardtail wagon'. :?

Still the Pace name aside (if you know what I mean), a very nice looking frame. I'm guessing it will cost far too much..

I also asked if they were considering building any more square tubed bikes at any point, due to their retro demand, and the fact that a lot of them seemed to have stood the ravages of time (especially compared to a lot of ally bikes) well. He said

Got an email from Adrian stating the RC104 will be launched at the London cycle show on the 8th of October.
