5?,this looks like being bike number 12!
Seriously,I've been looking at a Cotic Simple but this could be a real contender :D

Or you could buy my Cotic Soul and then I can buy a Pace

But only for the right price, then the pace would be 13!

good holy lord....... been trying to decide what 853 frame to buy for some time and i find this! what rock have i been hiding under for the last few months!?

I'm waiting until I can ride one before taking the plunge and replacing the Cotic with the fillet brazed custom version. Won't be blue though- I'm going to be painting it!

Thought I'd dig this thread up.

Sure they've been about for a while and everyone has seen one apart from me (which is fine given my aversion to modern stuff). Anyhow just saw one at my LBS yesterday. Tellingly in a box in the stock room.

Frame looked not too shabby actually although as per previous comments unclear how it fits in with Pace's heritage. The craftsmanship was pretty good and it looked well put together, have seen neater fillet brazing but what it was more than adequate. A few differences from the sample shown, it was all 853 with a chromed end to the stay. Also all the cables ran on the downtube (and onto the chainstays), inc the rear brake. So if you run something like maguras which would normally expect the cable to enter via seatstay you're going to have a big ole loop of cable or start faffing with goodridge hose kits.
