I somehow appear to have lost the shiny bit that holds my X9 cover to the shifter body.As shown in the centre here.
Anyone got one I have have/buy. Or know where I can get one.Or have a scrap shifter I can have.buy.

Thanks
R

Yeah thats about right, or just use a button head bolt (and then you may decide to not change it out!!).
Can be had cheap on ebay.

Yes, it's M4 thread. Have lashed up 3 washers of reducing size and an M4 x10 cap head screw.Does the job.Well sort of.Luckerly its hiden by teh brake lever.

Cant believe that it came loose.Nor that he carbon look (for that read plastic ) cover was still there. It was teh rattling cover that made me look and find the screw was gone.Bugger.Have contacted fisher outdoors who are the UK distributers.Well see.I expect they'll want £35 and for me to go to my not-so local LBS :(

Cant help im afraid
Just like to rant on how difficult it is to find spares for Sram stuff.Ive been looking for some original bar clamps for my X9's but the only thing i can find is ano ones at £21 each
42 frigging quid for a couple of bits of alloy and that isnt even from sram
I'm stuck with buying X7's just to take their clamps then sell on the shifter for a few quid
I've found one @ a tenner[a rear 2010] just the other to find at that or less

Rant subsides*

*But is bubbling just below the surface

dunno if that helps you out.

I'll see what gives with the importer. But at best I'm expecting it to be £20+ and involve a 20 mile trip to teh local retailer !
I have suggested that they could send me one for free.

Hunt one down on ebay,or rather a broken shifter. They do pop up quite often as some think they are gods gift to engineering only to find...........

 Bloody lack of pictures :x
I'll get an image for it but im enjoying the hunt-AND i get the shifter too to sell on
ie-
Get an X7 shifter for about a tenner->Remove clamp->Pop back on ebay and hope to get a fiver[or more]
= 2 clamps for less than they cost for a single clamp in the shops
Method in my madness
But thank you for that :D 8)
