SRAM (non retro) related help required!

Sorry its non-retro but I'm sure you can help!

My Avalanche Expert has SRAM X-7 shifters, and even though its only 4 months old, the shift window has stopped working The shift operation remains fine fortunately.

Can anyone help, as my LBS is reluctant to risk poking around incase they break it :roll:

seen this before,if you remove the cover that comes off to replace the cable you should beable to get to the sort of flappy bit of papery plastic that is the gear indicator, it's probably popped off its little peg that makes it move up and down, shouldn't be a problem to sort it if you do it with care.
