a very 'special' custom specialized!!

I once went to look at a "specialized" bike advertised in a local rag for not a lot. When I got there it was clearly not a specialized. It was old. . . . .had thumb shifters. . . . . and old forks with elastomers instead of springs and air.

I turned my nose up as I had not found the retro bug inside me yet.

About a year later I recognised the decals in an old advert, it was an old Ibis. Gutted.

Unfortunately this is not an Ibis

yes i once broke the rules and bought a hub from the special chinese market stall in brick lane, it had a hope decal on it and cost me £5 ....200 meters away i had scratched the decal off and found it was a royce titanium hub!

this 'specialized' has gone for alot of money for a fake bike though..

Awe bless..I get the feeling the seller really thought it was something special hence the close -up LX levers and and cheese mega 9 rings.
Someonme got a bargain there :?
