Specialized Rockhopper year?

Hello all.

I'm returning to the bike world after 15years as I have just been given an old rockhopper.

Does anyone know what year my "new" bike is and how much it would have sold for new?

It is going to cost me the best part of £160 to get back up and wheeling so also would appreciate some thoughts on if it is worth it or not.

This is the same bike as mine other than the two thin bands of colour on the down part of the frame.

Pic says Stumpjumper so it's not a Rockhopper.

Maybe post a pic of what you actually have.

I tried to load a pic of the actual bike but the file was too large. The bike is miles away so cannot get a new pic up yet unfortunately.

That photo is a '97 Stumpjumper M2. Looks identical to the one some punk stole from me, cept my pedals were orange. I miss my baby.

Brand new I paid around $1500 i think.

Ok, what I should have said was that the picture "looks" exactly the same as my rockhopper. Was hoping that would be enough to identify what I have.

After more research I think I have a H2. Does anyone know much about that? The info I need really is if it's worth me spending £165 pounds to fix it?
