Not too sure this one is super retro.
But the pseudo steel-Nitanium tubes and cross country styling just about gets close.
Specialized Rockhopper Comp. 1998 i think. Maybe a '99.
This is the bike i got to replace the Dynatech MT4.
It is also the bike i use so i don't have to take the MCM more off road than the tow-path.
Can't really claim to have done anything more than hang components on this one.
SIDs have a Judy crown as the steerer tube was too short for anything.

That looks cool. My first mtb was a '92 Rockhopper.

Don't remember it looking as nice as that though :?

Don't know of any canals around Southampton.
There is a nice river or 2....
I guess i better make a trip in the morning.
Anything that gives me an excuse to buy another frame.

Tow-path - you're right, i did use the wrong phrase.
But the thing is, it rides like a tow path, but it's in a tidal river.
Go figure.
