Specialized Rockhopper Comp 1989

Got given this today by a friend. I think I'm going to use it as a pub bike. I think it's an '89 from what I can tell. All the parts are original, even down to the tyres and brake blocks. The paintwork is a bit crap, looks like it's been leant against stuff quite a lot. Anyway, some pics.

I like this, my mate had the same colour BITD, yes 1988, '89 lost the U-brake and the seat clamp area changed.

My '88 Mongoose Sycamore is identical in almost everyway to this Spesh except for the paintwork and name obviously. Looks like a bit of badge engineering by the factory. Maybe they made bikes for several different companies.

I had that exact model in college.... man I road that thing on serious downhill (BITD) and it fit/handled perfectly. Need to find another!
