Hi, the cones on my old specialized front hub are dead, and the man at the lbs says shimano ones won't work as although they thread on ok, the angles of the race would be different. Is this a big problem?
Is there anywhere i can source appropriate replacement cones?
No code on the hub, but it is off a 96 or 97 rockhopper (red with white decals, judy xc white and red front fork) and has specialized engraved on it.
