Hi Will,

Thank you I have seen them. I have messaged the seller about the cost to ship to the UK and the total is 34 euro, which I feel is a lot to pay for a cage.

I am very tempted by this one though:

Is 34 euro too much?? Decisions decisions!! :? :?

Re:

34 euro!! you can send a frameset to europe for less than that! (mind you I've paid over the odds on occasion to get the right parts and I'm sure many others have too  ).

It might be cheaper getting a budget flight to Germany and picking them up yourself, it worked for this lad

Haha yes you're probably right! I should clarify though that the 34 euros includes the price of the cage. He's just messaged me & said lowest he can do is 30 euros shipped. Am I crazy to pay that, £23 for a bottle cage ??

Only you can answer that, doesn't seem too bad for something that isn't all that easy to find. It also depends how long you're willing to wait on something cheaper coming up for sale in the same condition.

Think I'm going to bite the bullet and go for it. Like you say what's the chances of finding another in that colour combo? Practically zero I should imagine.

Re:

Yeah certain parts come up all the time and you know you can wait to get a better deal but others you just need to grab when they come along. As long as the price isn't going to bankrupt you and it's something that will complete your build then go for it. At the end of the day if you buy something that you regret, because of the cost etc, you can always sell it on and recoup some or all of the cost later.

Yeah exactly. (Just don't tell the wife!! )

edit - saying that she had a £100 haircut the other day so that puts things into perspective!

I wouldn't use the cost of her haircut to justify the purchase of any bike parts if I was you, it's unlikely to end well for you
