I'll admit that I have a pair of the version before the one in that link.
I did wear them for a while during the hot summer we had a few years back, but I must also admit that they haven't been worn much since so I haven't really got my money's worth out of them... :roll:

They've been available from Shimano since the pedals came out. The hot SPD sandal in the US right now is this one....Keen. Great for commuting, short trips and hot days.

The great Sheldon Brown used to wear em through a Bostonian winter with Gore Tex socks!!

Yeah i remember these from Bitd, about '94 think they were that Ngoobah dark blue & some kind of bright green or yellow :shock:

My LBS used to stock them.

i remember the story in MBUK about the Anaheim trade show where some guy had just added SPD cleat's to a sandal and put a plaster over the plate in the footbed.

I had a pair BITD, I logged 1000's of Road miles in them whilst touring on the road, not so sure about off road, sticks and twiggs under the toes & feet are not nice.
