they are very popular for long audax rides like the paris brest .

Every summer someone on a mtb forum will go WTF about these sandals.
Enough already, they've been in existence almost as long as spd's and not just shimano make them.
Stoopid idea maybe but popular otherwise the idea would have been dropped years ago.
On road, not racing but touring they seem reasonable but off road they're not for me :shock:
