8) The thing with being redundant is lots of time to ride!!!! :P So..as my partner also has monday off, and the toddler is at school..can anyone reccomend a great natural off-road, 3-5 hour ride, south wales???
Need a nice change from cwn carn and afan, and things should have dried out a lot by then...but ideally need to be this sort of area as have to be back in bristol by 3...but can set off early!
Any ideas gratefully received...thanx!! :D :D

go to mtb-wales.com & hava look at the downloadable trail maps.
I like the black mountain killer loop (drive about 25miles north of newport M4) for real exposed big mountain feel. fairly easy to navigate & some long climbs & DHs :) the 1 s.track downhill just north of the sugarloaf is 1 of my fave s.tracks anywhere :D
talybont route is also on there, this route gets raved about due to the "gap" DH from the side of Penyfan.. but aside from that 1 DH & the awesome views the actual ride isnt that amazing, a long slog climb along the side of talybont reservoir for the most part.
both of these trails can be bugga exposed with poor visbility on bad weather days.
I might be doing the killer loop tomorrow... if my mate doesnt get pi$$ed up 2nite

if you were doing a sunday ride I'll happily take you on a ride ;)
I'm doing afan next sunday (2nd), but a local ride the sunday after that (9th)
