The torque of your nuts n' bolts? On some of my modern gear there is info relating to the max torque you should have :?

Is it important?

Does anyone else bother?

Do I need to buy this: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=29803

I think I might get some kind of weird kick out of knowing that all the nuts, bolts, clamps, etc on all of my bikes (both old and new) are the correct/same torque.

i dont bother

but i think shimano fitting instructions have torque figures
might be on their site if not

I read somewhere that the correct torque is more important when using carbon fiber parts as they're more prone to being damaged by being over tightened?

I have torqued everything on the bike I could find a correct value for :D

I am struggling with some of the very light settings - need a smaller wrench :D

I am a geek and my name is WD Pro ...

I just nip everything up, I never lean on any bolts apart from the ones on the crank arms. Even those just get tightened up sufficiently and checked a few times after fitting, then get nipped up again if necessary until they stay tight.

If its something that I'd be worried about coming loose though vibration etc I just add a dab of loctite.

Just turn the bolt till it starts to get stiff, give it a nip and leave it alone.
