Something a little different from SBDU

I picked up this frame in August last year. A lovely original SBDU frame from 1983 - no TI-Raleigh colour scheme but using the same shade of Red. I didn't want to use Campag so went for Shimano 600EX, which I've used before on a previous build. It's actually a Time Trial Special frame but with a slightly longer rake on the forks - the shorter top tube is perfect for me.

It is 531c but with Metric tubing (28.0 mm seat tube instead of the Imperial 28.6 mm) - it is as light as my 753 frames and takes a 26.6 mm seat pin.

It currently has some MA40 rims and Veloflex tyres with Shimano 6400 hubs but as soon as I get some more spokes, I have some original 600EX 6208 hubs and GP4 rims ready to build for it.

Very nice that. Short wheelbase gives it that 'look'. Nice find, and the 600EX is actually a very pretty groupset when it's presented like you have here.

Yep, the 600EX is an excellent group. Looks great and just works really well!
