My uncle had one, when I was akid (3.5 V and it positively flew which is probably why it didn't brake so well

the straight six can do 30 mpg when its cam and cooling are sorted, almost as fast as a standard V8 in fact it was de-tuned because the sixes were faster

My Sister had an ex-plod V8 P6 as her first car.. prefer those to the SD1.. but.. having been in an SD1 Vitesse.. they are quite lovely too

My next-door neighbour has two SD1s!

One is slightly modified as its a two seat pickup, with a V8 running on LPG and is used fairly regularly for commuting though it seems to have an oil leak at the moment.
The other is supposed to be an ex-race car with an allegedly TVR Rover V8, but its been in his garage for the last year or two being worked on now and again.

My brother has a spare 3.5 V8 if you want...
