since i have been using my bike for work, the journey can be a little treacherous at times.

a few things which really wind me up is.

1. idiots walking blindly staring at a mobile phone.
2. people with mile long dog leads.
3. people who randomly walk diagonally and change direction suddenly.

i could go on, but i'll leave that to any others who want to contribute.
anyway, my speeds are going up. and it really makes the reflexes sharp.
a guy the other day was shouting at me for nearly running his beloved dog over on a stupidly long leash, i had to remind him it was a cycle path.
and dont get me started on smashed glass.
right rant over.
on a positive note, i'm loving the weather. :D

Cycling at night, cars that don't think they have to dip there lights to cyclists

That is so true...

Also, people who stop their cars on 'no stopping' areas, then move off without looking just as you are going past them. My son and I nearly tasted gravel already this week going to school...

For me personally, it's the pillocks who walk in cycle lanes, when there are clear "no walking" signs.

I say "for me personally", because I live right next to Cardiff Bay Barrage. There is a link road (for docks traffic only so very rarely used), alongside which runs a nice wide cycle lane.

Set up above the link road/cycle lane are a whole load of footpaths/pavements, as well as a MASSIVE grassed area next to the bay itself. Cyclists get shouted at if they even turn a wheel on these paths (and so they should as it's clearly marked no cycling), yet it seems perfectly acceptable for people to wander along the cycle lane / road and get in the way.

During the summer months (well actually any time when the weather is good ie. now), it's an absolute minefield of aimlessly wandering parents, manic running kids and dogs off their leads (or on those stupid massive retractable leads).. And yet cyclists are the first ones who get moaned at or blamed for anything..

Gets right on my tits!!

people who are walking along a path that has plenty of room for you to pass but as soon as they hear you coming jump to the other side and right in your path.
