There looks to be a welded noodle around the seat-tube for the rear brake cable. If it is, then it's either anything from 1990 or a '91 Explosif.

If it's not a noodle then it could also be a 1992, but the brazed-on seat clamp rules that out for me.

I can't say anything definite about the model from those pictures.

Yeah, the '91 Cinder Cone was available in 'Cinder Gold'.

Looking at the decals, seat-post clamp and noodle. I'd go with this being a respray and 1990 or earlier.

I agree it looks like a 92 Explosif, it’s the same colour (gold metallic). As Andy says, the 91 Cinder Cone was also gold, but the catalogue pic shows it as a much darker colour.

The pic below is of the 92 Explosif that sold last week. I’m pretty sure that one was genuine. It had a non-brazed seat clamp, which this one lacks, and it had the rack eyes on top of the seat stays, which I can’t see on this one. I agree with Paul, but it does seem a bit odd that somebody would go to all the trouble of getting a good colour match respray to a 92 Explosif and not put an Explosif decal on it.

One thing we can say for sure is that, like last week’s, this is a size 16 and really quite a small bike (there was no such thing as a 17 back then).
