I don't suppose you have a cheap set of 6-bolt disc brakes for sale?

I bought a project bike & PROMISED myself I would complete it from bits already in my parts bin. But the brakes on it are knackered Shimano cable discs & they need to go.

That Deore would be awesome beyond belief (and a good price). But even if you had another one, 2X £40 is a bit beyond my budget at the moment :(

Have MTB components got WAY more expensive recently? Even the CRC prices for Deore and LX level kit seem to be very high compared to my fading memories of prices from a few years back.

Cheers.

More expensive.I'd say so,now a £1200 bike has a mainly deore groupo with and XT rear mech thrown in for good measure.
Personally i'd never buy new again,or if i had to then its CRC sale or something[chain cassette that kind of thing]

But i suppose it depends on which components youre referring to.Obviously disc brakes are way down in price if for £60 you can get a complete good quality mid range brake[per brake]
bitd it was £140-£160 per brake and you had the choice of 2

I could offer you the brake and the 2x160mm rotors for a best price.
PM me if you're interested.then you hunt down something similar[deore m525/535 or LX ,or whatever you can find for a budget of say £30]
:D

Or Nearest Offer guys  thats what the 'ono' means
