now that (except the wheels) I like a lot.
I just don't like hunts wheels. they look fine though..All alloy hunts, fashionably black and aero for the year.
We are fitting a 42 sprocket, 11/42 cassette should give a nicer range, and then upping the tyres to 35s, and i bet my younger colleagues will force me to fit amberwalls.
Well, not fit exactly, just pay for![]()
you misunderstand. I like the look, I don't like hunts wheels.Im with Dave, the wheels detract from the overall good look (and thats me saying nice things about road bikes too)
Cheers Dave, you misunderstand. I like the look, I don't like hunts wheels.I've got Condor rims on the Coyote that look very similar, but they cost about a 3rd of the price.
I've had 3 friends with Hunts rims. one pancaked on gravel track. . The last set I had to help with, they were sub 1 month old and the spokes were pinging like druggy 3 days in to detox. All of the tensioning had been done on the trailing spokes (no, I don't know how either) the leading spokes were just along for the ride. The 3rd set, the freehub seized over winter. That isn't Hunts fault as such, but it's still annoying.
granted my pool of experience isn't very large and I'm sure that most people have no issues what so ever.
Just because we don't come to the conclusion by the same path, doesn't mean we don't agree.Cheers Dave,
OK Im on my own with saying the wheels look shite on it
Kidding, not shite just so much black together that the rim get lost with the tyre and the overall visual impact of that takes the eye (mine anyway) away from a really nice bike.
Oh yes you do!Just because we don't come to the conclusion by the same path, doesn't mean we don't agree.![]()
