SOLD: MBK fixed road bike
I have been tinkering with and riding this to work over the summer, it's had a clean and the reflector has gone since this photo was taken.
It's an MBK Super Sport 12, made of Hi-tensile 707 tubing with a lovely paint job. Size is 58cm.
I've respaced and dished the rear wheel and set it up with a fixed wheel sprocket, it's the original rear wheel, the rim is not in great condition but it's only running a front brake.
Front wheel is ok, it has a pair of 23 Specialized Mondo tyres now.
The gearing at present is the inner chain ring 42 and a 14 tooth sprocket, which equates to around an 80 inch gear.
This was built from parts I had available in my shed, brake is an adapted Kona MTB one, Onza grips and bare bars, Shimano copy pedals with toe-clips (not in photo), Selle Italia saddle.Nothing fancy but it all works.
The frame has some chips and cable rub to the paint and cracking to the paint at the Headtube/Downtube joint and the seatpost is reluctant to move. I've not tried heating it or anything else as it fits me in its current position.
OK it's a cheap home made fixed wheel bike. Great as a commuter/winter hack. (Has mudguard eyes.)
Anybody want to take it? I'd like to get £70 for it.
