SOLD - Longstaff trike 53cm - £400

Saddly I'm having to sell my trike as it turns out you can't go on trains with them so I can't use it to tour on and the misses is getting mad with it sitting in the livingroom!

Size is 53cm seat-tube and 55cm top-tube. 531 butted tubing

Cinelli cockpit + tape

Shimano Dura Ace headset

Weinmann levers

Dia compe calipers front (both of them)

Not sure about rear hubs but they're internal braking, quality is great

Shimano 600 seatpost paired with a Brooks Colt saddle

Shimano 600 BB with Bio chainset

Shimano 600 rear mech, chain, cassette

Campagnolo front hub matched with Mavic m3cd rims (all 3 matching)

When I bought the trike I had been told it had only been used for 300miles and wear shows this is true, saddly in shipping it got a few scratches on the frame but they have been touched up to keep the frame protected. The only bad things I can think is the BB is starting to click and make funny noises but not all the time, I think it does it more in warm weather. No play in it though so I have carried on using it. I have used it for around 700miles so I guess it has had around 1000miles from new!

I'm looking for £400 plus postage (if needed to be posted I will need a few days to source a box) I have posted a trike before and it arrived fine. I'm in Cornwall if collection is wanted.
Here are a few pics, saddle NOT included and pedals will be replaced with the original shimano 600 ones. It does have rear mudguards but they are not fitted in the pictures as I find you don't need them on a trike. Carradice items aren't included but I will be selling the large saddlebag and the buyer can have first refusal as it fits perfectly.

Lovely Longstaff! What drive is it - OWD, 2WD with diff?
2WD double freewheel. Longstaff hasn't done 2WD with diff as it cost too much and you loose power too often IIRC. Your inside wheel drives while going round corners while your outside freewheels. It is the same idea that has continued to be used by both longstaff and trykit.

Re: Longstaff trike 53cm - £400

I've had only one trike, a Ken Rogers with a diff and no rear braking. Very tempted by this -I need a new motivation! And re-learning to ride a three wheeler (despite all the onlookers who assume that it is much easier than a BIcycle) might hit the spot....

Perhaps easiest if I PM you with questions?
