Hello, I volunteer at a bicycle recycling charity called The Edinburgh Bike Station. We fix up and sell donated bikes to the people of Edinburgh to raise funds for various initiatives to help vulnerable and needful groups and individuals in the community.
Most of our bikes end up as commuters and pub/hack bikes for Edinburghs large student population. However some donated bikes are just too good for that fate and so we try and sell them to targeted interest groups.
We have a very good condition pretty much original and complete Nishiki Caribou from around 1983-84. NOW SOLD FOR £200 asking price.

Precisely what tubing it has I do not know but its not the lightest. The bike has full Suntour AG Groupset and Dia-compe brakes. Dropout OLN at rear is 126mm, frame is brazed including forks and has Bullmoose handlebars. Seatpost original fluted SR. Frame size 19" C-T and top tube 22" C-C so a medium. Original wide rimmed 36 spoke alloy wheels and heavy duty hubs with freewheel. Made in Japan, designed by Norco of Canada and this example was bought in Canada and brought over here by a previous owner.
The price I have been told to ask is £200 and a receipt to that effect will be provided, a 3 month guarantee is usually provided as all bikes are inspected and mechanically tweaked prior to sale.
If you are interested in buying then contact me by PM.
You will need to arrange a courier but we can pack in a bike box. The courier can pick up during business hours from Bike Station premises.
The Edinburgh Bike Station is located at 250 Causewayside, Newington, Edinburgh, EH9 1UU.
