1980-ish Colnago Saronni (Super) frameset with Campagnolo components
I'm part way through a restoration of this gem and beauty. Thought I'd gauge the interest and its value before going any further with it though, as I'm a bit strapped for time (and money, LOL) now that the racing season has begun.
The size is 54 x 54 cm, with Saronni pantography on both frame and fork, Colnago headset and pantographed Colnago stem. I've removed all the non-original (e.g. Shimano) parts that the bike came with and started gathering Campagnolo parts. Already replaced the missing non-drive-side crank and shifters. Also, I've got the original Campa/MA50 front wheel to go with it. Therefore, you get everything you see in the following photos plus the additional bits I'd listed here.
The paintwork has faded quite a bit, while the fork chrome is in a decent condition. However, there's a problem with the frame - one that wouldn't be too hard to fix for a pro with a jig - the rear left lower fork has had an impact of some kind which has left the tube squashed and slightly deformed downwards and inwards:
As for the price - I'm gauging interest / looking for offers or at least an objective appraisal of the value, but to be in line with the forum rules, I'll set the asking price to £500 - the maximum I would ever take for it
.
Thanks, Nikica.
