i have managed to enter myseld into a head to head unofficial soap box race with some mates. sadly 2 are mechanical engineers and one is a solicitor. i have neither skill or cash on my side.
been looking at races on the internet and it seems the most common failings are wheels buckling under and folding and speed wobble.
any pointers? the rules, there are no rules. straight race. first past the line wins.
the course is undecided but it will have corners.
my thoughts so far are that it needs to be stable so long wheel base but also needs to corner so not too long. i'm thinking low centre of gravity to eliminate wheels folding under.
how to steer it? what size of wheel? wher eto put the seat?
help!!!
