As Paypal have no way of knowing when stuff has been despatched as the transaction isn't done via eBay..?

Please can someone shed some light onto it for me or am I being a total dullard (as usual).

The pending does usually mean its an e cheque :? but it should only take a week,ten days tops.
As a rule dont dispatch anything till the payment is physically in your account.Contact the buyer again and ask him whats going on.It could be that paypal attempted to remove the amount from his bank if the paypal account was short,he might not even know this has happened.
But send nothing yet
