OK now I found out what's going on.

Yep - it's poor judgement for On-One to even consider linking what would have been a mass-produced product with a hand-made iconic product.(Off at a tangent - have you seen a low-end Pinarello recently? But at least it's their own brand they are tarnishing)

Buying it to destroy it? Well it's your money.

Ethics of buying to destroy it? Well I suppose it's not exactly green. But then neither is DOT oil.... so I can't point any fingers.

I'm not voting as I don't really care one way or the other. Frankly all that's come out of this is that On-One get more publicity out of it. So I'm sure they're happy - and Dr S even paid for the privilege.

If it's a prototype, it was handmade, yes?

To destroy it would be pretty disrespectful to the guy that spent time measuring/cutting/welding it, employed by On One or not.

i'm sure the 8yr old tradesman that built it will be un-affected by it

Built it and try it out, it might ride okay. If it does then paint it up and stick a sticker on it that says ONE-OFF-ON-ONE.

I really respect the salt that you feel towards this that your willing to buy a frame and consider wrecking it....it's the sort of thing I may have done in the past lol

Personally I'd build it up in as bad taste as could then take it street riding to finish it off :)

I can't decide whether the response on here has taken you by surprise (relative to the Nero-esque first thread) or whether you were hoping the majority would say "build it" just to give you a get-out. Either way...

- If you don't destroy it then everyone will know you're all talk... and a closet Brant Richards fanboy ;)

- If you destroy it then you're doing what you believe in and set out to do in the first place.

I wouldn't have thought that people saying "build it" or "give it to charity" would make you change you belief system, but if you flip-flop that easily then maybe you should consider becoming an MP

give it to someone who would appreciate a nice frame who may not be as fortunate as yourself.despite who/why/whatever its called its a frame that could be used and give very many smiles, that is what we all ride for.

dont hate the players, hate the game........or something like that :?

send it back to Brant Richards piece by piece
Did Brant Richards commission that frame? I don't think he has had anything to do with On-One for quite a while now, has he?

Had exactly same thoughts. All that discussions generate free advertising from growing big site every time all of us typing they s name here, I'm also convinced they're happy from it.

Linking to Fat Chance brand and taking some fame of brand is low but think guys, when they started did it? Before or after all that fuss about on-one?

Got a strange feeling all that moves including e-bay auction had a purpose. I've seen an e-bay advert a hour before was linked here and just had a hope no one notice and will not post. But here we go again.

Before I didn't even care about on-one, never was on my radar, it was small, meaning nothing brand making so-so bikes as many others. Thanks to RB become quiet famous to me from over a year or so. Believe or not this is usual trick in IT retail and saying good or bad still generate traffic to site and makes a brand well known.

As was said it's your money, if you destroy it or build, it doesn't change anything at all. Personally, I even don't bother what will happen with this frame but looks like some RB'kers does. Nevertheless I voted for build, reasons were pointed out many times here.

At this stage, this was my first and last post about on-one
