so if you are worried about a bomb on board a 747 jumbo jet:

I didn't see any comment or explanation about how realistic the test is, though, in terms of the integrity of the fuselage when in flight, pressurised, and experiencing the rigours and stresses of being flown at hundreds of miles per hour.

Looks like it's worth a watch.
I do wander about the pressurised cabin though, as the doors were open on that clip letting our the blast.

You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!
Not just open - not there...

And what looks like interior trim, too - how much bearing that would have I'm not sure, but I would have thought the fuselage being pressurised, plus the stresses of whizzing through the air at hundreds of miles an hour, would be quite significant to the air-worthiness of a jet that's just had an IED detonated inside.

As someone who knows nothing about explosives and aircraft, I can quite confidently say, I wouldn't like to be on a plane when a bomb goes off.

In response to the title of this thread, you can only be worried about a bomb on a 747 if it was you who put it there

I'll just continue in blissful ignorance in the hope that all concerned have been doing their jobs correctly :D

I just don't worry, i have a much much bigger chance of being killed on my bike than on a plane

i just hate flying, hate the whole experience, i take 60 or 70 a year.

i sometime wish it would blow up to stop that kid kicking the back of my seat

I saw that earlier, that test was to replicate the plane that some nut job tried blowing up on xmas day. It was at 10.000 ft and wasn't high enough to be pressurised enough for that type of damage.
However, i certainly wouldn't wasn't to be anywhere near it.
The program did highlight some interesting flaws in the us security system.
