If you have done your back, it is best to stay active, rest only weakens muscles and allows them to stiffen.

If you have a back problem, then you do need to think about core training, that is exercise that specifically targets the core muscles that support the spine. Pilates is an effective exercise as is belly dancing which I do, dancing is more fun than exercising and with thirty giries around me, what an enviroment to exercise in.

I have a weak back, caused by slipping a disc twice, one time above the vertabrae and a few weeks later below the same vertabrae, an injury picked up in industry, caused by lifting a light object out of sucking mud on a construction site and the second time, well,er with the ex.

But core training you need if you have back problems.

For some reason I was put in mind of the following snippet of dialogue from Messrs. Mayall & Edmondson's Bottom;

Richie: Well, er, Eddie, none of us are getting any younger. I just pop
along every Wednesday afternoon and firm up.
Eddie: What, you, er, you stand at the back of a room full of girls
jiggling their bottoms up and down and "firm up"?
Richie: That's right.
Eddie: I bet you do.

girie= girlie, all ages and shapes and I stand at the front so they can all laugh at me when I go right instead of left and vice versa, but am under pressure to move into the advanced class now, but that means serious choreo's and public performance eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek !!!!!!!!

But a taste of the kind of stuff I do where one can see the benefits to a weak back ;

and another variation ;

Don't be daft!

I can't do that, I've got a bad back.

Ok . . back question, since there's some experience in here...

Had an x-ray of mine following months of pain and the x-ray was normal..

It's mostly centred around my sacrum but I get quite a bit of referred pain into my coccyx and hips..

What's next (from a diagnosis p.o.v.) ??
