Retrobike Rider
As a rare sun was slicing through the gap in the curtains this morning I knew I couldn't resist this opportunity to skive from my duties and head offroad.
A couple of bikes bristling for some early 2008 action were loaded up and away we went to Delamere Forest in Cheshire. A happy four hours were spent riding, tweaking and fettling in the 40 degree sunshine with, perhaps surprisingly, no other bikers for company.
The Alien ran flawlessly, the second choice Fat mildly irritated with a slipping seatpost - perhaps it was miffed at not being called for action first. My legs had run out of energy by then anyway - so no harm done. Retired to the local curry house this evening after a hot shower, to enjoy a Cobra and that tired legs sensation.
Best ride of the year...
