It certainly did. They must have subsequently met a bloke down the pub who reckoned it's worth £800 easy and definitely would have paid a grand for it it if it was only a week earlier / week later / he'd already sold his bike / hadn't already sold his bike / his dog wasn't ill / the fence fell over.
