Greetings from "darn sarf", I have a question that requires some "local knowledge". Does anyone know of a good sledging hill to the North/East of the Midlands UK?

I ideally it would be accessible to myself heading up the A1/M1 and for a friend making a rendezvous heading from Humberside.

And given the recent snowfall, does it have any skiable snow on it? Thanks.

You do realise Humberside was abolished many moons ago...
Unless you mean the airport?

Can't help you with the sledging hills.
There is the old dry ski slope in Sheffield, now closed. Not sure if it's accessible, might be as few more around the Sheffield hills. Would need the locals to chime in.

Thanks chaps, we went for a rendezvous in Derby, there was plenty enough snow on the local hill and it was remarkably good quality too. Induction/lesson completed in a couple of hours, then a fine pub lunch with some very drinkable Ale. 10 out of 10 for Derby!. Pictures etc. to follow in the blog write up soon.
