It's a bike and therefore great.

Would never be my only bike but I certainly want to have one available for when I feel the urge... which is very regularly.

The last single speed I road was a Diamond Back Silver Streak! I was only 13.

But it looks like fun on an MTB and I'll try it soon when i find a suitable donor bike!

I commuted on a 48 x 16 singlespeed for a year or so and it was ace!

Good fitness booster.

I also have a 32 x 16 for off road duties and again its good fun not having to worry about gears

I still don't 'get it' but I'm now collecting parts to resurrect my Saracen Traverse Comp into a 36/16 once I've finished everything else....I'll let you know in a year

Did it once to my IF Deluxe.. Lasted a week; once I'd gotten over the "Wow, this is way lighter" and discovered the "but it actually makes it less practical", I switched back
