I need help :(
the gusset single speed conversion kit wont fit my race lite wheels ,its a King hub,it appears that the spacer internal diameter is too smal
Did something change ,did the cassette shell shrink,
The cogs fit ok but neither of the spacers will go on,and as its new im returning it rather than grinding it to fit,
Is there another system out there ?
trying to save on mechs + shifters so i want to run a single speed till i can afford them :(

The Wheels Manufacturing spacers have an ID of 35mm, so loads of clearance on a Shimano compatible freehub. Charlie the Bikemonger has these.

However, I think that I'd just take a halfround file and take a gnat's cock out of the Gussett ones - I'm sure it's only a few thou. that's stopping them fitting - are you sure that there isn't any slight burring on the freehub splines ? If so, take the file to those....

All this is the proper singlespeed ethos of course - make things fit and work

Be warned, once you go the singlespeed route you might well not want to go back to gears anyway

I'm biased of course - making a very nice UK manufactured CNC spacer kit  but this sounds very odd. They should all slide on easily - ID specs vary but regardless a Shimano pattern freehub is a standard diameter so there should not be an issue...

Again biased but the multi spacer kit (ie not a two piece) is much better for obtaining fine tuning of chanline and universal use on different set-ups.

SORTED

Shop opened a packet of spacers ,one of the multi-ring types, added the gusset cogs and dumped their spacers,
No charge :D
Good old Willy Bain[Shop in Glasgow southside]Does it again
Problem solved with the minimum of fuss :D :D :D
